Jenny’s Philosophy
Health has always been an integral part of who I am. Both of my parents were in the medical field, and although I always knew I wanted to work in that area, I’ve always been drawn to a more holistic, individual healing approach. Through education, experience, and a bit of luck, I eventually discovered Five Element Acupuncture and Qi Gong. Over the years, I’ve developed my own personal guiding principles of health, happiness and healing. I apply them in my own life, and they also provide the foundation of my acupuncture practice. Those principles are based on intuition, integrity, compassion and personal responsibility.
AcuCharleston is built around the principles and practice of Five Element Acupuncture, which sees a person in health and balance, rather than in illness. This style of acupuncture guides you in listening to your own body’s intuitive messages. This enables you to develop a greater self-awareness, ultimately realizing you hold the key to your own health. This often means letting go of negative tendencies, habits, emotions or interactions. By living from a place of integrity and compassion, your actions reflect your values and expectations; you will feel balance mentally, physically and emotionally. Living from these principles, you will be able to transform internal and external conflict and realize the full potential for a healthy, happy and purposeful life.
